In July of 2008 I bought Danish Inspirations and renamed the company "Danco Modern." "Danco" honors the company's original name and origins, while "Modern" symbolizes a new beginning to an already remarkable story.

Located in the Northampton MA area of the Pioneer Valley since the 1970's, Danco Modern (Danish Inspirations) made its name early as a Scandinavian Design furniture store. I started my job in October of 1972 performing Scandinavian furniture assembly and delivery. I fell in love with our products' emphasis on Danish design (hence the wellspring and origin of the name Danish Inspirations). Over the years my admiration increased as I saw exciting Danish design manufacturing ideas spread to other countries and continents. We became more than Danish Inspirations and a Scandinavian design furniture store, featuring products from all over the world and showing them exclusively here in the Northampton Ma area to a very receptive audience.

I am fortunate indeed to have dedicated employees who share my passion for Scandinavian furniture. Their experience now averages some 20 years each and is such a great benefit for customers.
